Meet Our Pastor & First Lady
Early Calling and Education
Pastor Roland C. Oliphant answered his divine calling in 1999, setting him on a path dedicated to serving God and his community. He pursued his theological education at the College of Biblical Studies in Houston, Texas, where he deepened his understanding of Scripture and prepared himself for pastoral ministry.
Pastoral Journey
Before founding his own church, Pastor Oliphant served at Sweet Home Missionary Baptist Church and Antioch Missionary Baptist Church. These congregations played a pivotal role in his spiritual development, equipping him with the knowledge and experience necessary for his next mission: church planting. By divine direction, he established Life Fellowship Church, located at 311 W. Marlin, Willis, Texas. Here, he continues to lead with passion, striving to create a welcoming space for all.
Family Life
Roland is supported by his loving wife, Eva Johnson-Oliphant, with whom he has shared 30 wonderful years of marriage. Together, they have raised six children: Chad (and Michelle), Danielle (and Zircon), Stephen (and Robyn), and Nehemiah Oliphant. Pastor Oliphant is also a proud grandfather to five grandchildren, cherishing each moment spent with his family.
Professional Life
In addition to his pastoral duties, Pastor Oliphant dedicated 20 years to New Waverly Independent School District, where he served as the Transportation Director. This role allows him to impact the lives of students and families in the community, further embodying his commitment to service.
Spiritual Philosophy
A true servant of God, Pastor Oliphant tirelessly reaches out to the least, the lost, and the left out. He embodies humility, acknowledging that everyone, including himself, falls short daily through thoughts, words, and actions. His favorite scripture, Psalm 37, reflects his faith and reliance on God’s guidance.
Passion for Preaching
Pastor Oliphant’s greatest joy comes from standing in the pulpit, preaching an uncompromising gospel. His dedication to sharing God’s Word inspires those around him, making a lasting impact in the lives of his congregation and community.
